SCAR Executive Committee approves SCAR Communications Plan
Following e-mail consultation with National Committees and Delegates, the SCAR Executive Committee meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria, July 11-13, 2005, approved the SCAR Communications Plan.

Dedicated polar edition of the European Commission's RTD info Magazine
The International Polar Foundation has recently prepared, with the cooperation and input of research scientists, a dedicated polar edition of the European Commission's RTD info Magazine, the scientific research periodical prepared by the European Commission's Research Directorate-General. This special edition of RTD info describes the leading role that European teams are playing in diverse scientific fields, such as climatology, astronomy, the life sciences and glaciology, and outlines the importance of a global commitment to co-operate in research aimed at tackling major climate-related problems.
