Travel Grants for the SCAR Open Science Conference
3 - 6 August 2010, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Applications are sought from students, post-doctoral researchers, and other early career investigators for travelling to and attending the SCAR Open Science Conference. Applications are particularly sought from countries with less developed Antarctic programmes. Travel grants will provide full or partial support for travel and related expenses to attend the Conference to be held at Buenos Aires from Tuesday 3 August to Friday 6 August, 2010.
Eligibility: Applicants must either be current students or early career researchers. Successful applicants must present a talk or poster at the Conference.

New Grant Available from PROANTARTIDA Foundation
The PROANTARTIDA Foundation of Argentina offers to cover the difference between early and regular registration fees for those who register before 26 July 2010. Applicants for this grant should send an email to the Foundation requesting this special support including the title of his/her abstract to the OSC or the letter of acceptance and their full personal data (name, lastname, Institution, address, country).
Those requiring a grant to cover the full registration cost should write to the foundation in the same terms of the former but including a signed statement explaining why are requesting the total grant.

Results of Travel Grant Awards
The results of Travel Grant Awards are now available. The people on the list should look out for an email advising them of the amount of grant, and the procedure for claiming it. All emails with additional information included have now been sent, please check in the email address you provided on the application form, as well as in your Spam folder. You should confirm your intention to take up the grant to Renuka Badhe (rb302@cam.ac.uk) by 1 July at the latest.
