Decision 2 (1999)

Guidelines for Antarctic Shipping and Related Activities
Decision to convene a Meeting of Experts to develop draft guidelines for Antarctic shipping and related activities.

Resolutions

Resolution 1 (1999)

Guidelines for EIA in Antarctica

Recommendation that the "Guidelines" attached to this Resolution be made available to those engaged in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments for proposed activities in Antarctica.

Resolution 2 (1999)

List of Specially Protected Species: Annex II to the Environmental Protocol
Request that SCAR, in consultation with others as appropriate, review the list of Specially Protected Species.

Resolution 3 (1999)

Support for CCAMLR

Recommendation that Consultative Parties, which are members of CCAMLR, support the Commission in dealing with the problem of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in the Convention Area.

Resolution 4 (1999)

Cooperation among Parties in Accordance with Article 6 of the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty
Recommendation that Peru should coordinate preparation for a discussion of this issue at XXIV ATCM.

Resolution 5 (1999)

Advice from COMNAP and SCAR

Request to COMNAP and SCAR to prepare a Working Paper discussing the operational and scientific aspects of preventative measures and response action in relation to liability for environmental damage in Antarctica.

Resolution 6 (1999)

Adherence to the Environmental Protocol by Non-Consultative Parties
Encouragement to Non-Consultative Parties to adhere to the Protocol on Environmental Protection as soon as possible.

Antarctic Protected Areas System: Revised Management Plan for Site of Special Scientific Interest No 23 &emdash; Svarthamaren
