SOOS is looking for a new Data Officer

SOOS logoThe Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) is a successful international initiative with the mission to facilitate the collection and delivery of Southern Ocean data to all international stakeholders, through design, advocacy, and implementation of cost-effective observing and data delivery systems.

This is your chance to be part of our great International Project Office team based at IMAS, Hobart. Your task will be to lead efforts in building the community and data systems needed to make Southern Ocean observational data more FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).

Do you have: 

  • a knowledge of data management administration and strategy;
  • high-level communication, networking and leadership skills;
  • the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with collaborators across a wide range of backgrounds;
  • a degree in a relevant field of science, engineering, or information technology?
