SCAR meetings had now settled into a familiar pattern. There were sufficient countries coming forward with offers to host the biennial meeting for adequate planning and advance warning to the community. The format of meetings with the meetings of the Working Groups preceding the Delegates’ Meeting kept the meeting length to a manageable two weeks.
