FRISP 2020 is moving online

AVdP iceberg calving webThe 34rd Forum for Research into Ice Shelf Processess (FRISP) will take place in the form of a virtual workshop. To allow as broad access as possible, the online conference is free of charge and will be distributed over several shorter sessions in June that move through the week and time of the day.

Four sessions are planned on the following dates, each session lasting about 3 hours:

  • Tuesday 16 June, 2pm CET
  • Wednesday 17 June, 8am CET
  • Wednesday 24 June, 5pm CET
  • Thursday 25 June, 10am CET

FRISP is an annual meeting to share research related to ice shelves, and their interactions with the ice sheet, ocean, and atmosphere, to present work in progress and discuss emerging research ideas, and is well-suited to early-career researchers as well as senior scientists.

Please register (there is no fee) and submit your abstract through the links on the FRISP 2020 website.

Registration and abstract submission close on 31 May 2020. Once we have an overview of the contributions, we will inform you about the exact presentation format.  We will send out a detailed schedule and information on the online format soon thereafter.

For those of you who have already registered and booked accommodation at the Hotel Döllnsee, your registration fee has been refunded – if any issues arise, please contact us. We also kindly ask you to register again for the virtual meeting so we can make sure to include everyone in the workshop.
