Indi Hodgson Johnston web

Indi has a PhD in international law at the Institute for Marine & Antarctic Studies and the Antarctic Climate & Ecosystems CRC, in the area of the laws of Antarctic sovereignty, territorial acquisition, territorial disputes and boundaries. She completed her BA (Public Policy), LL.B (Hons) and B.Antarctic Studies (Hons) at the University of Tasmania. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania, and previously worked with the Southern Ocean Maritime Patrol and Response Unit at the Australian Customs Service. Indi currently works as Deputy Director of Australia’s Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS).
