James Moser

James Moser holds postgraduate degrees in art history, history, religion, and divinity. James has taught as a college assistant professor and a university lecturer, during which time he authored two books. Currently, he serves as an officer in the United States Air Force. Through such service, James has received the Commander’s Award for Public Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, and most recently, the President’s Volunteer Service Award. In 2016, shortly after relocating to New Zealand, he was made a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and in 2017 was selected as speaker of the New Zealand Antarctic Society’s Mid-Winter Dinner. James’ academic interests include: Commonwealth History, Polar Art History (e.g. iconography and phaleristics), and Systematic Theology.
