Paola has a BA in Psychology and is also a member of APECS-Brazil (2020-2022), as well as a tech startup CEO. She is working on an application for health and safety risk management in remote or polar regions in her Ph.D. at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and is junior editor of a Brazilian journal. Her Antarctic experience includes seven expeditions with the Brazilian Antarctic Program, studying several strategies to reduce accidents, illness, and crises in these contexts. She has had opportunities to work in ships, station, and to follow the specific operation of launch cargo with the crew of the Hércules C-130 during over-wintering.
